I am so excited to see everyone and have a bit a down-time away from the show. My life has become very stress free and this little adventure is just what I need right now. I love my job but I haven't been away from it for about 2 months now. I will have 4 days off starting May 4th when I return to Vegas, then I will be touring with the show out in California. I'm very excited about that but also know at the end of that tour I will be returning to Indianapolis to see some friends and go to see NIN and Jane's Addiction! I am a huge nine inch nails fan and this may be the last time they perform live. Regardless, I take every chance I can to see them live.

Lately, I've felt balanced and centered. Yes, I still do have my 'off days' but nothing like I've experienced in the past. I know there are many things contributing to that but mainly I believe it is that I am still doing what I love for a profession, sound technician, but finally getting compensated well for it. I am also able to redirect my thinking into a more positive aspect and know that I can put forth my questions to the universe and have those questions answered. To me, GOD is a 'Greater Other Dimension'. I don't know exactly what this means other than it is something greater than myself and includes everything I sense in my world and those senses beyond myself that I have yet to tap into. So my thanks to the universe and loved ones for such an abundant life!

Peace and love to you and Happy Easter!

Boredom + Sharpie = This

Back to Alabama

My request for abundance has opened the flood gates of possibilities for my universe. Now, I presently find myself back in Alabama, this time in Huntsville. I will be here until May 4th sound teching our show at the Merrimack Performing Arts Center. It's an amazing little theater, only seats about 300 people and everyone I've meet that's associated with the theater has been so nice and accommodating to our company. I hope that since I'm not touring with this stint, that I will have time to visit some local areas. I drove directly from Macon, GA to Huntsville at the end of our last tour through a very beautiful mountainous area which I would like to find again. I've been almost void of nature the past 3 months and I'm needing some refilling. A day alone on a mountain top would be ecstacy at this point or even a garden would be nice. I see the beauty in nature everyday, but my job keeps me mostly confined to a dark theater. I will have 2 days off a week and there are walking trails around our apartment complex... yes, apartments! No more hotel rooms... not this month anyway. I feel this time is for me to refine myself and connect with my inner-self and learn some things.

A great shift is underway in my life and plans for change are already in the works. The consolidation of my priorities will be placed effectively so that I may use the most of my time off at "home". Peace to you, the few that read this.

Randomness

Well today ended our run in Alabama. We don't have another show until Friday, which will give much needed rest for all of us. We just finished our one show in Montgomery, Alabama. Tuesday we travel to Albany, Georgia then on to Macon, Georgia thus ending the tour, which seems like it has been about 3 months long, but it will only be about 4 and a half weeks. Being on the road can be interesting and very trying. I can't say I've connected with any of the cities yet besides Galveston, Texas. Though, being in the south has been interesting, I can't say that 'southern hospitality' is something I've experienced on this tour, but quite the opposite. Oh well, I'm out here to do a job, not make friends.

Off to other things, I've begun research into past-life regression and continued my research into Chakra systems. My views on life, religion and spirituality are changing at an amazing rate and I see and believe things now I never thought that I would. But that is the purpose of growing up. I've always felt like an old soul and am curious to see if I can unlock those past parts of myself to give me insight of my purpose of this life. If I sound crazy, chances are you should have an open mind and try something different for a change. I've done it and found it very rewarding so far. If this sounds preachy, well, it is. WAKE UP and feel the new energy around you. Love everyone and respect everything including yourself. People treat others with such disrespect and it disgusts me. I am overly friendly now and try to find the dimmest light in the darkest person. I used to be dark, I used to be negative, I used to believe in nothing. Now I limit myself to nothing and let everything flow as it should.

For each their own, love is your answer, love is our answer, we must come together as a world and understand the spirit resides in all of us. We were all once atoms that make the dead stars that still shine on us from a distant past.

You are love

Feel the new energy this year is providing. Take this time, NOW, to shake off the societal norms that you have been taught to accept through your entire life. Now is the time to unite with fellow spirits from this life and from past. We boarded the ferry in Galveston in our Penske truck loaded with our set and props and what-not. We got off of the ferry no problem to continue our trek along the Gulf Coast to Orange. About 15 minutes down the road, half of our fiberglass roof tore off of the truck and the metal piece that secured the roof flew off onto the road somewhere. Before I had time to think, I was sprawled out on top of the truck trying to make sure the rest of the roof didn't fly off exposing the entire cargo hold of the truck. (I had no idea how strong the Gulf winds could be until I was 13 feet on top of the truck. They were gusting about 30 - 40 mph that day.)

Marc (the production stage manager) and Daniel (the assistant stage manager) worked their way into the cargo hold of the truck to get to the tour box to find our gaffers tape. We then proceeded to tape the rest of the roof to the truck so we could continue 60 more miles to get to our next venue in Orange, TX. I drove the truck the rest of the way going between 35 - 45 mph with my flashers on and praying that the tape would hold. Miraculously, it held and we somehow made it to the Lutcher Theater in Orange, TX right on time for our noon load-in.

The picture is of me on the top of the cab looking through the hole where the metal cap is supposed to be, but, it is on the road somewhere in Texas. While I was in the sound booth doing my final check before we left I was contacted by one of the spirits of the building. I was alone in the booth and through our communication headset, which no one was on because they were all breaking down the set, a voice whispered 'Not Me' audible enough for me to hear. Come to find out a previous sound tech at that theater had died and that a few other crew members has experienced things in the past.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am pretty skeptical when it comes to this sort of thing but after it happen, I looked around, got very, very warm and very light headed and felt a surge of energy through my body. I thought I was crazy until I asked one of the stage hands about past happenings.

Other than that we raised over $9,000 for our charity which will go to build a house for a woman in need.

Thanks for the memories Galveston. I am the main audio engineer for a touring off Broadway show called Menopause the Musical. For a 27 year old guy this show might seem like torture but the experience of touring with this show, as a whole, is one of the best things I've decided to do with my life. We are currently in Galveston, TX. This poor community is still rebuilding from hurricane Ike. The theater in which we're performing had the first floor under water but now has been restored to a beautiful theater that was built in the later 1800s. In addition to just the show we also collect money for a foundation called 'There's no place like home' which collects donations at the end of the show to help rebuild houses for homeless women. So far, from just 2 shows, we have raised over $1,500. This is amazing considering what all of these people in this area have gone through and given the current state of the economy (or whatever it is that's going on). *As a side note, you should understand that I have very little trust for the government, no matter who is in office.*

Tonight we have another show and hopefully another great night for our foundation. I'm glad that we are able to help people in ways that FEMA, Aid Packages, and our 'great' government can't. The last tour I worked, we raised under $10,000 for a woman in New Hampshire. We visited the location where they were building the house and were so happy to know what this foundation was doing with the money we've raised.

By the way, the people in Galveston are great! Everyone is so nice and the local crew at the theater is amazing. Galveston is an island with great attractions, great seafood and just an overall good vibe. I'm very happy to be here and this community has welcomed us even before we got here.

I'm off to eat seafood.

Greetings

Please stand by
